About Tiny Signals
Tiny Signals is a personal developmental progress tracker for families. It is designed for parents and caregivers to log observations about their own child's development and share those observations within their household.
Tiny Signals is operated by Tiny Signals, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us", "our").
By using this app you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Not medical advice
Tiny Signals is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It does not replace professional medical, developmental, speech, occupational, or behavioural therapy.
Nothing in the app — including event summaries, weekly reports, trends, goal tracking, or any other output — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
The app presents only observations you have entered. All patterns, counts, and summaries are derived directly from your own logs and are provided for personal reference only.
Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for clinical guidance.
Who can use this app
You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
By using Tiny Signals you confirm that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose data you are logging, or have the parent's or guardian's explicit permission to do so.
- You will not share your account with people outside your household without using the in-app invite feature.
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Your data
You own your data. Tiny Signals does not claim ownership of the events, notes, or child profile information you enter.
You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Export all data (CSV format).
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to log observations about children you do not have parental or guardian authority over
- Attempt to access, probe, or interfere with another household's data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app
- Use the app for any commercial purpose or resell access without written permission
- Introduce malicious code, bots, or automated scripts
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content generated by or within the app.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tiny Signals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profit, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Tiny Signals.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim (or CAD $10 if no amount was paid).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
Service availability
We aim to keep Tiny Signals available and working, but we make no guarantee of uptime or data availability. Cloud sync requires an internet connection. Events are saved locally first, so offline logging always works.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws may provide you with additional rights that these terms cannot override.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app before they take effect. Continued use of the app after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
